Pet Grooming Software Pricing: What $59, $89 and $199 a Month Get a Mobile Groomer
Software pricing can be hard to read. Per-user fees, per-van fees, add-on modules, setup charges. Mobile groomers usually just want to know one thing: what will this cost me each month, and what do I get for it? PetGroomBossPro keeps the answer short.
Plans for One Person or a Whole Team
Office Roles and Employee PINs in Pet Grooming Software described how the same software scales from a solo groomer to several vans. The plans follow the same idea.
Three Plans
- Start — $59 per month
- Pro — $89 per month
- Crew — $199 per month
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and you do not need a credit card to start it.
What Comes With the Platform
The core of the product is not an add-on. The pieces covered across this series are part of the platform:
- Pets saved on every visit, with the next visit filling in from the last
- Add-ons and van notes
- Set-time repeat appointments every 4, 6 or 8 weeks or any frequency
- Pending Jobs, scheduling and routes
- The groomer app on iPhone and Android, with the grooming checklist and Grooming Report
- The Book Now page priced by pet size, estimates and leads
- Automatic reminders, two-way texting and the customer app with its live map
- Invoices, card on file, online payment, tips and monthly account billing
The plans differ in how big a business they are built for. To compare exactly what each plan includes, see the pricing page.
The Text Allowance
Each plan includes a monthly text allowance for the US and Canada:
- Start — 500 texts per month
- Pro — 1,000 texts per month
- Crew — 2,000 texts per month
The allowance counts texts sent and received, so a customer's reply counts along with your reminders. A simple way to estimate your needs is to think about how many appointments you run in a month and which alerts your customers turn on: night before, when they are next and when the groomer arrives. Add some room for two-way conversations. Texting is covered in Texts and Reminders for Mobile Pet Grooming: Night Before, On the Way and Arrived.
Which Plan Fits
A rough way to think about it:
- Start suits a solo groomer with one van who wants the whole system without paying for a team.
- Pro suits a growing business, perhaps one van with a groomer and bather, or a solo groomer with a busy book and a lot of texting.
- Crew suits a company with several vans, several employees and office help.
You can start on one plan and change later as the business grows.
Comparing Software Costs Fairly
When you compare grooming software, look at what you will actually pay each month once you have the features you need. Check whether the groomer app, the customer app, online booking, texting and card payments are included or extra, and whether the price goes up per user or per van. A low headline price with paid add-ons can end up costing more than a plan that includes them.
It is also worth counting time. If software saves you an evening of invoices and rebooking each week, that is part of the value too.
Plan for Your Busiest Month
Grooming books are rarely flat all year. Many groomers find some months much busier than others, and the busy months are when the text allowance and the extra hands on a bigger plan matter most. When you pick a plan, think about your fullest month rather than your quietest. The setup you do during the free trial carries straight on into whichever plan you choose, so nothing you enter is thrown away.
Think About the Time You Get Back
Price is only half of the comparison. The other half is the work that stops landing on you. Rebooking regulars, texting reminders, writing invoices and chasing payments add up to real hours every week for a mobile groomer. Software that handles those on its own pays for itself in evenings as much as in money, and that is worth including when you weigh one plan against another.
Your Own Prices Are Yours
The $59, $89 and $199 are what PetGroomBossPro costs. What you charge your customers is entirely up to you. The service list, add-on prices, size pricing, minimums and frequency discounts on your booking page are all set by you.
Try Before You Pay
The best way to know whether the price is worth it is to use the software on your own clients. The 14-day free trial needs no card, and the live demo lets you click around a fully stocked sample mobile grooming company before you even sign up. For more on both, see the next two guides, or go back to the pet grooming software page for the full list.
